When cell phones first hit, and people starting using them to remember dates, planners sort of fell off the radar. They are back…. Many people found that writing a date down that they remember it better then putting the date into their cell phones. It is a great way to manage your time. Years ago we couldn’t live without our planners and they have been pushed aside for new digital ways to record your time and dates.
Planners are making a comeback. Companies still want to hand out something to their clients but want something that is cost effective. The advantage of planners especially during this pandemic is giving them out to customers and clients, they have your logo in front of them, something that is easily mailed. In 2020 sales of calendars and planners skyrocketed. It seems that trend is going to be the same for 2021. Planners keep you organize and let you see at glance what you need to do. When you are able to see a week at glance you are able to do better time management. We all seem to waste a lot of time and the planners put us back on track. Example, if you were not able to get to a task today, you are able to move it easily to the next day.
You might write down I need to call someone that is important. You check your phone once and see you need to call a particular customer and you get busy and forget it and you do not look at your phone again. Where as a planner you will let you see the whole week or month or just today’s date. As you accomplish your task you can write it off. So maybe a week later you want to go over what was important and it is still unlike the cell phone where most of us just delete the task.
Many planners come with an area you can track your expenses. Everything you need to run your life is in that little planner. So you can wake up in the morning and look at the list of tasks you need to get done. Who wants to listen to Alexa telling us what we need to do.
